We have had several dogs in the past and, despite having them attend group dog training sessions, we found that they still had issues, particularly when it came to simple things like just walking on a lead. Ruby, our Australian Shepherd/Borde Collie Cross had just turned 4 months and we wanted to give her a great start in life when it came to obedience training and get her into the best habits possible right from the start. We found Richard and Doggonit via a Google search and have never looked back since! Richard has completed a 12-session, one-on-one training package, with Ruby and even though she is still only 6 months old, she responds to a variety of commands, such as sit, stay, drop, heel, and, most importantly come! Even better, at only 6 months of age, Ruby walks on a loose lead first time, every time. Richard also helped us teach her a couple of really neat tricks, such as weaving between poles and jumping over small obstacles, etc, which has got us really interested in enrolling Ruby in some agility/obedience training a little later in life. We could not thank Richard enough for giving us a dog that is a pleasure to take for a walk and already the most obedient dog that we have owned. To anyone who is considering improving the behaviour of their best friend, we would highly recommend Doggonit dog obedience training!

We are nearing retirement but wanted one more German Shepherd. From past experience we knew it would be hard work. We decided to go for 'one on one' training with Doggonit and it really paid off. Beagles - handsome, loyal and loving, smart, strong willed and so difficult to train. My adult child gave me an 8-week old Beagle pup since I have retired. I thought my "training" of 10-word commands would be enough. My pup just looked at me like I was crazy and went on doing expected but destructive puppy behaviour, chewing on everything, taking off down the street, carpet toileting, etc. I felt like I needed to give my pup away after 2 weeks but instead I called around and was referred to Doggonit Obedience training and started a session. The best decision I have made.

I highly recommend training with Doggonit Obedience even for young pups. My Beagle had a strong personality from the start and after training, my Beagle is so delightful to be around and is now my best friend. Even on a dog beach with a lot of distractions, my pup returns to me on every call, which is very unusual for Beagles who follow their nose for long distances. My pup and I are having fun together now.

We have just completed Richard's easy training with our 2 and a half-year old, Staffy X, and it's like we have a new dog! Being a busy family, we decided to have Richard do the training sessions, of which we accompanied a couple of them and learned a lot along the way. Most of the lessons were spent at our local dog park. This really has helped our dog to train in dealing with distractions as it was our biggest concern, and it worked a treat! Our dog now walks well on the lead, has great recall, knows all her commands, and even stays and drops at a distance from across the park. It was a huge improvement and we are very impressed and thankful for all of Richard's help and guidance over those weeks! We would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for quality dog training to dogs of any age.

I have 2 small dogs who were good, but not great when it came to their behaviors. Since they have done they're training with Doggonit, they are like different dogs! They walk on a lead properly instead of pulling. I can let them off lead, they stay close and come back when called. Their general household manners have improved since their training too. I loved the convenience of letting them go off with the trainer and me not having to put so much work in, like traditional obedience classes. It's very worthwhile. Highly recommended!

I would highly recommend Doggonit Obedience. I have 2 young puppies, my husband and I work full time and the children are at school all day. We needed the puppies taught acceptable behaviors in such a way that we just needed to reinforce them on a daily basis. As a result of Richard's hard work, we have two well behaved and well socialized puppies who are a pleasure to walk and to live with.
