Jakob manages a variety of patients ranging from normal aches and pains through to weekend warriors and elite athletes.
In his early twenties, Jakob was struggling with a shoulder problem and wasn't getting the results he wanted with the care he was provided. Chiropractic isn't well known in the Netherlands, therefore it took some time before Jakob ended up in a chiropractors office. Once he did however he improved rapidly. This first experience with chiropractic lead Jakob to enrol at the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, England.
During his years in Bournemouth Jakob developed a keen interest in sports performance and rehabilitative care and has worked with a variety of sporting teams. He enjoys developing mutual treatment goals with his patients and works hard to help them get a result, be it performance enhancement or just getting back to feeling healthy. Jakob believes that part of his responsibility as a health care practitioner is to not only treat the patient's current problems but also help prevent future injury by providing appropriate guidance and information through regular preventative care, depending on the patient's preference and needs.
Jakob has been involved with chiropractic for over 8 years and is constantly looking for better ways to be able to help his patients and in doing so Jakob has completed a range of courses, including; dry needling, taping, rehabilitation and Sports Injury Management. He has found these tools most beneficial to patients both as performance enhancement tools as well as pain re-education. (more)
