Guitar styles taught include electric, acoustic, bass and ukulele at all levels. From classical, jazz and advanced music theory to a simple method for rock and blues with no music reading necessary. My experience ranges from music awareness classes for very young children to teaching adults of all ages to play and enjoy the style of their choice. My training in classical and jazz is from the WA Conservatorium of Music (WAAPA). Most people just want to learn to play for fun and relaxation and can be surprised at how quickly you can strum a few chords and start playing music on the guitar. More advanced students can be provided with all the necessary tools to pass AMEB examinations or to prepare for auditions for university level institutions. Classical and Jazz Guitar, also more casual styles where no music reading is necessary. Music theory to all levels and a special awareness course for very young children. My teaching method has also been very successful in teaching adult beginners who may only want a few lessons rather than signing up for a term or paying in advance.

Kathryn Andrews is a fantastic guitar teacher! She was recommended by a friend when I was complaining of not progressing with current teacher. I can't say enough about her teaching method & how much it has helped me. 2 months has taught me more than past year! Thanks! - Lee
