Sally Schulz BHSc, Dip(RM)
Hi, my name is Sally, and I am the massage therapist and naturopath for Sakura Wellness Centre.
I have been working in the natural health industry since 2005 and am passionate about helping others achieve optimal health and wellness. I truly believe in a holistic approach to improving ones health and find that offering a combination of physical and nutritional therapies can greatly improve peoples chances of achieving wellness.
Whilst studying my Bachelor of Nutrition and Naturopathy at the Endeavour College of Natural Medicine, I also completed my Certificate IV in Massage Therapy, graduating in 2004. Since then, I have augmented my massage qualification by completing a Diploma of Remedial Massage at the Australian College of Massage, and have also been attuned to Reiki 1 & 2.
Since 2010, I have been contracted as a mobile massage therapist to over 70 hotels in greater Brisbane, with clients ranging from professional athletes to Justin Bieber dancers. More recently I have been working in the Southern suburbs of Brisbane as a massage therapist with particular focus on deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports and remedial massage.
I have also been a practising naturopath throughout this time and am happy to consult with anyone who would like nutritional, supplement and vitamin advice.

Remedial massage uses a variety of techniques to reduce pain, ease tension, and repair damage to muscles, joints, tendons and soft tissues. Some of the techniques that may be used in your massage include:
Deep tissue massage - a variety of techniques are used to address specific deep tissues and structures to reduce pain and discomfort in the body
Trigger point therapy - a trigger point is an area of hyper-irritability within a muscle that is aggravated by physical or emotional stress. The development of trigger points is accompanied by referred pain patterns and restriction of motion.
Sports massage - aims to prevent injury, enhance athletic performance and reduce muscular pain.
Relaxation massage - focuses on treating the body as a whole via a full body massage routine. The aim is to promote relaxation and a sense of well-being.
Health issues that may be addressed with remedial massage include:
Stress and associated discomfort
General muscular pain and stiffness in joints
Pain and muscular aches associated with immobility
Stress and tension headaches
Pre- and post-natal discomfort
Pre- and post-sporting routines
Muscle shortening affecting mobility
Conditions associated with acute or chronic muscular dysfunction (more)
