Yum Sing Express Bedford Park

"I recently discovered Yum Sing Express in Bedford Park. If you like Chinese food, this place is great and it's really inexpensive. You can get a pretty nice meal for less than five dollars. They offer dine in facilities, take away as well as a drive through option so it's just like a fast food outlet but for Chinese food. So far, I've tried the Yum Cha which includes a spring roll, steamed dim sum, prawn toast, pork bun, sio mai served with light soy sauce for $6.95. As well as the King Prawn Salad served on a bed of crisp mixed salad greens, cucumber slices, carrot straws and Spanish onion with Yum Sing light, tangy dressing for $10.90. "We would highly recommend this restaurant. The staffs are very friendly and always greet you with a smile. The food is delicious, the service is great and as a bonus you get a magnificent view of the river while you have your meal. The renovations are lovely too! " (more)

Cremorne Hotel

"This is a great place to go on a Friday night after work. They have lots of television screens everywhere, which is great if you want to catch a game of football with your mates. It was surprisingly busy, probably because of the great weather last night. There is an open area or beer garden near the main bar so there were a lot of smokers who congregated near the entrance between the beer garden and main bar. It was hard to get served at the main bar because it was so busy but I found that the bar just behind where the Kino gaming area was not so busy, so it was much easier to get served there. There were plenty of good looking locals and people who had just finished work for the week. " (more)

"If you love steak then this is the place to be. This place offers every type of meat you can ever want. There is almost too much choice it's hard to decide what you want. If you're game try the challenge. It is a 1kg steak, eat it in under 30 minutes and you can have it for half the regular price, you pay $20 instead of $40. On a Monday night they have the have all you can pasta and steak. They bring it to you one massive plate at a time along with plenty of chips. The main rule is that you have to eat all of the spaghetti and ribs in before you can ask for more. For most people one plate will be more than enough, I struggled to finish mine and I still had plenty of chips left over. Also, I also received a free desert for checking into Foursquare. I gave it to my friend however since I was already stuffed from the pasta and ribs! " (more)
