Both floating and fixed systems cost a lot of money to replace so it is important to routinely check, clean and maintain your pontoon or jetty. Routine checks should be carried out every 12 months. Regular washing and rinsing of the pontoon/jetty and all fixtures and fittings is vital to prolonging the life of your pontoon/jetty. A1 Pontoon and Pier offer routine maintenance service to for all makes of pontoons. This service includes: - Check wire rope on winch systems, or cable supports, for fraying - Grease winch (electric) yearly - Check rollers on piles and dry berth for excessive wear - Check safety and security on nuts and bolts - Pressure wash and de-mould all carpets as necessary - Check pile brackets for safety and security of connections to the pontoon & the roller wheels - Walkway hinge brackets checked & greased - Check connections for bolts, dog bones & hoses on boat lifts.
