"Been visiting for several years. We think of it as an 'honest' cafe. The food is honest, the staff also. Unpretentious and good value. When I buy a pie for instance, it's an honest pie - tasty, good pastry and full of solid meat or other ingredients - not a bit of filling padded out with thickened sauce. When we eat there we feel like we've had real food. Always go away satisfied. When we get things to take away (which is usually, because we visit on our regular trips from Vic to Sydney and back), the staff pack it up, tied with a little ribbon (quite unnecessary, but always makes it feel a bit special when we open it), often a little note making sure we know which pie is which (with little drawings for identification). Little touches like that are rare these days. 5 stars out of 5. " (more)
