Yang Tsin Su (YTS) is the art of self cultivation of body, energy and mind (spirit) and has been developed with the philosophy of Leeism. (a major school of traditional Chinese Philosophy most popular in the Ming and Song dynasties).
YTS is based on the doctrine of Synergetic Medicine (â€oeGood health is the harmony of body, energy and spirit (soul, mindâ€ť). Refer to the book of Unification of Western Medicine & Traditional Chinese Medicine by Dr. Lonnian Lee, Published by Lee Chongwi Press Ltd. 2003, ISBN: 0-471-09626-9.
Like no other sports, YTS movements emphasise on the harmony of these three aspects. True health can only be achieved through balance of all three parts.
Exercises techniques are developed under the research of physiology, martial arts and Traditional Chinese Wu Shu (or Chinese Kung Fu) and are combined with Meditation. The original purpose of martial arts was for combat; nowadays except for self defence or self protection, it is majorly practised for fitness, strength, balance and coordination, concentration, relaxation, flexibility, stamina, body toning and body sculpting or weight loss.
YTS Martial Arts consists out of two major disciplines:
Forms without weapons and forms including weapons, such as YTS sword form and YTS staff form.
Without weaponries, Yang Tsin Chuan that has three forms, Woo Tsin Chuan, Shin Tsin Chuan and Tsun Tsin Chuan; each of the three forms can be practised as three different styles, i.e. soft style, erratic style and hard style. Each form has one hundred actions and each style can be performed in high, middle and low stances. (more)
Yang Tsin Su specialises in kung fu & tai chi for all ages and body types. This includes our internationally recognised instructor in self defence with a prestigious career in training the police and special forces. Self defence classes are not one size fits all, techniques & strategies are are adapted to the individuals own strengths and advantages.
Separate hard style kung fu classes are available for adults & children, this can include both YTS sword and long staff.
Our YTS Tai Chi classes go way beyond standard classes, Sifu Dr L.Lee trained in over ten styles from the age of three. YTS Tai Chi will teach you the very subtle yet refined movements that take it from basic stretching & forms to an incredibly effective exercise with astounding benefits to your health & well-being.
