Yaraandoo is a modern, well-equipped and beautifully located eco lodge, function centre, wedding and conference venue. It also provides various group or individual accommodation options for up to 50 people.

Its tranquil bush setting close to New England and other national parks makes it the ideal corporate or social getaway. Catering is available for groups of 12 or more but you are welcome to self cater.

My nephew recently held his wedding at Yaraandoo. The so called function centre is not designed for a wedding. It is simply a long hall way with a very small bar area in the middle. It's totally unsuitable for a wedding. When we arrived, it was obvious that our daughter’s room had been double booked so they offered her accommodation on a sofa bed. When she went to her room after the wedding, she found she was locked out of the main building that had the bathroom facilities. Other guests reported similar stories of having to share their rooms with other guests. As the accommodation is so far from the nearest town, you have no choice but to accept their stuff ups and share your room with strangers. None of the rooms have bathroom facilities (this is not advertised on their website) – we had to share with the other guests and the bathrooms were a disgrace the next morning. It was like staying at a caravan park. Our room was right beside the function area and when we went to bed about 12.30 am, we could not sleep as the music was playing and guests were still celebrating. This continued until 2.30am when another guest finally got out of bed and complained. To use the bathroom we had to walk past the guests who were still at the function. The rooms had a tiny mirror on the back door so that you could only view your face (not ideal when one is getting dressed for a wedding). There was one ironing board to be shared with all the guests and this was set up in the function area where guests were arriving. Avoid this place - save your money and don’t fall for their practice of ‘mistakenly’ double booking rooms.
