Researcher Dr Zelber-Sagi said, It seems that the resistance training had a specific impact in terms of a fall in liver fat levels as measured in the ultrasound examination.

On top of that, the people who did weights at the gym also completed the study with lower levels of cholesterol.

Concluding the study, the researchers recocmmended people with fatty liver to adopt a regular routine of physical exercise, incorporating resistance training. Better yet, they should look to make changes to their diet and overall lifestyle. But if that becomes a challenge, simply doing a few weights workouts a week could help patients become healthier and reduce their liver fat."
