Kids On Top Occupational Therapy for Children was started by Sonya Moriarty as a mobile service visiting schools to assist busy families by providing OT to children at their school or preschool. As the business grew private rooms were established in Haberfield.

Therapy is now provided both at school/preschool as well as the rooms in Haberfield. Sonya has a close working relationship with many local schools and preschools and is regularly asked to speak at new parent orientation days or staff development days.

A dedicated school readiness program is held in October each year to assist preschoolers with the transition to school. School readiness assessments are also proved to assist in the difficult decision of whether to or not to send your child to school.

Therapy is often provided to school aged children for assistance with handwriting, gross & fine motor skills, executive functioning difficulties (memory, organisational skills, planning, task commencement & completion), social & play skills, attention and focus issues, increasing resilience and self care skills.

Assessments for HSC students who may be at a disadvantage in an exam due varied reasons. They are assessed to see if they are eligible for special considerations such as rest breaks, extra time, quiet space, use of a laptop etc during their exams. A letter is provided for the Board of Studies if the student is assessed to have a disability that will affect their ability to perform in the exams.

Therapy can be provided under Private Heath Funds, NDIS, Medicare schemes including: Enhanced Primary Care Plans and Better Access to Mental Health Care Plans.


OT is provided to school students from preschool to HSC. Therapy provided to pre-schoolers to develop social, play and self-care skills and school readiness. Therapy provided to school aged children to further develop these skills and assist with school participation to the best of the childâ€TMs ability. A large proportion of clients seek assistance with handwriting, gross & fine motor skills, executive functioning difficulties (memory, organisational skills, planning, task commencement & completion), social &play skills, attention and focus issues, increasing resilience and self-care skills.
