Hi Sandra - I am the current online media relations manager for Joyce Kitchens and it is my job to investigate and report back on reviews like yours. The reply I posted is not "false" as you accuse, as Joyce project records do indicate clearly the reasons for delays with your project and the sales staff do recall you very well. In discussion with their management and team regarding your experience it was mentioned: 1) You chose to manage the stonemason and pay them directly yourself to save money at the start of the project. Joyce Kitchens recommended the supplier to you. Joyce did not receive any fees to manage them as part of your project costs. It appears you had forgotten that you had chosen to self manage the stonemason, and you should have called them directly to find out about any delays. Instead you blamed Joyce Kitchens for the delays. You could have phoned Joyce at any time to enquire on the status of the stone delivery, and Joyce would have happily checked that day, on your behalf, and provided an installation date for the stonemason. If required, Joyce could have put pressure on them to accelerate the installation. 2) The showroom team relayed that it appeared you deliberately chose to come to the showroom without warning and create a big scene, in front of other potential customers and when staff mentioned to you that your behaviour could cause the potential loss Joyce customers your reply was "good". It appeared to the team that you had an agenda to cause an issue, and your behaviour was unacceptable. It did not assist in achieving the completion of your renovation. The manager did attend the showroom as a result of this incident, and he arrived just after you left. It was clearly not important enough for you to wait for him. 3) Joyce have been building and installing quality kitchens here in Perth for over 20 years and have completed almost 10,000 kitchen renovations. Occasionally a customer has unrealistic expectations on the time-frames required to complete a project. 4) Since the completion of your project there are no complaints from you on record or issues recorded on the workmanship and quality of your new Joyce Kitchen. All of Joyce Kitchens work comes with a 10 year structural guarantee and Joyce encourages any potential customers to come into a showroom, talk to their team, and experience for yourself Joyce's dedication to their customers and to the quality of their work.

UPDATE: We double checked this review and the client is not a Lee L but a Lee H. Her complaint was that she did not get a pantry door fitted between 2 brick walls with the front of the door flush with the face of the brickwork. What she was sold (and charged for) was our standard detail for this type of install. We normally provide a facia piece which sits proud of the brickwork in which the door sits, this way we cover the brickwork with a panel and fix it to the front. After we had installed the pantry door she said that was not what she wanted, she wanted to pantry door to sit flush with the face of the brickwork which requires a frame to be fitted inside the brickwork and the door mounted inside this. This is a lot more work and consequently a lot more expensive. The fascia board covering the bricks was clearly shown on the drawings which were sent to her before the job, she had more than enough time to bring the detail to our attention before the job was installed. She did not do so. At no stage during the sales process or when the check measurer was on site did she say that she wanted a door mounted flush with the face of the brickwork, she only raised a problem after the job was done. We said no problem happy to install what you want, we will have to charge you extra. She did not want to pay extra. If she had told us exactly what she wanted in the first place she would have had to pay more, what she tried to do was get an expensive job done for a cheaper price. The original salesman dealt with the issue as he had discussed the scope with her and knew that she had not been specific about what she wanted.
