Bought a watch from Salera's Westfield Chermside for $ 200.00 on 14 Dec 2013. Day 1- a pin fell out within 10 minutes from I leave the store with watch on, didn't take it much seriously (regret now), went back to the Chermside store and got it replaced. Day 22 - I went back to Chermside store with another pin fell out, asked for replacement or refund- both rejected instead offered to send to the manufacturer and was told told would take between 4-6 weeks due to the holiday period. I am very unhappy but convinced myself to wait for few more weeks. Day 72 - I called Chermside store and was advised the watch was dispatched from the factory and on its way to store. I will give a call soon. Day 73 - I called again. The store said they will give me a call back but no response. I went to store that night and was told Melbourne head office is closed already and they will give head office a call and will let me know tomorrow. Day 74 - 1st half - I finally got a call saying the manufacturer said that was not a factory default but my fault. Hence, I have to pay to fix it and the amount is around $70 (can't remember the exact amount, as I was so frustrated by then). I said I won't pay a cent. I need a final decision from your store and I will see my options. Friday, Day 74 - 2nd half - The store called to say head office agreed to pay to repair it but they will give me call early next week to let me know when it will be ready. Today - Day 85 (3 months) - I still haven't heard anything. Now I am thinking if there is a formal way of donating a watch to a store (or the store where you bought it). I should perhaps do it than increasing my blood pressure everytime I think about it.
