I went to the MyFone store at Coolangatta yesterday 17th December 2012, to have my iPhone 4S screen replaced as I had smashed it. Prior to me handing my phone over to them, it was in perfect working condition and no issues with the handset. They replaced the screen in a very timely manner, and their customer service was good. When my phone was returned to me, the screen appeared to be replaced very well.  However, from the time my phone had been returned I had consistent trouble with my mute/silence switch. The switch no longer works properly, in silent mode, without me even touching the switch it constantly changes from silent to ringer repeatedly. In silent mode, it also continues to vibrate as if the switch is being turned on and off. There was also what appeared to be access glue along the outer rim of the new glass screen. When i rang the business this morning to discuss the problem, the receptionist was extremely helpful, advising me that i could have the mute switch replaced in hopes if resolving the problem. We returned this morning in an attempt to have the problem fixed, yet the man we spoke to who was the same man who replaced the screen was in no way helpful. He told me that the fact the switch was not working anymore was in no way his fault nor did it have anything to do with the fact he had replaced the screen. He then continued to tell me, the switch could not be replaced on its own, and to fix the problem he would need to replace the whole top arm which includes the volume controls, the AUX plug and the lock button, that it was easier said than done and that it would be expensive to do. He refused to accept any responsibility, and was extremely arrogant throughout our conversation.  I have seeked second opinions from two other businesses, one of which was an actual apple store who informed me that the problem can arise from the ribbon being unintentionally damaged or even a bad connection from a wire being moved. I was also told that I could have the single wire replaced if needed, I could also have the switch alone replaced to fix the problem. Not only was a lied to by the man in the store, but after paying $125 to have the screen replaced, he has introduced a new problem which can cost around $80 to fix and accepts no responsibility for it, while trying to tell me the problem is my own fault.  I am extremely frustrated and disappointed in the business and would not recommend them for iPhone repairs.
