Start Local (originally ECEF) was launched in 2006 with the aim of becoming Australia's best local search engine and directory.

Our local search engine is 100% free for any business that wants to be listed on our site. By having free listings we can help keep our data as comprehensive and up to date as possible.

Our staff are always looking to expand our results so if you have had recent experience with a company not listed on Start Local please contact the business and tell them or another authorised person to get it listed.
