"They are down to earth good natured people who believe in the old traditions of looking after your neighbour. "I have stayed at Riverside Caravan Park several times now. The new owners are very friendly, they allow pets on a lead so I was able to take my dog with me on holidays and the location is fabulous being on the riverfront. Very peaceful and a great place to stay with friends or meet some new friends! The amenities are clean, the park is very scenic and the fishing is great. There is a boat ramp and jetty to sit on. I will definitely be back for my next holidays! " (more)

"This is a peaceful Eco Tourist Park in natural surroundings with grassed powered and unpowered sites. There is a new amenity block erected in late 2010 which are kept very clean. There is a man made lake and an abundance of wildlife and birds. This is an easy 40km drive to Townsville on the Bruce Highway for shopping or the beach. " (more)

"It's a fantastic place! We had a family reunion at the Palms and mostly stayed in the Cabanas and loved it. We had quite a lot of family to round up and organise but everyone could stay with their own family in a cabin and self cater if necessary (some of us have babies and young kids so it made life easier). We found everything to be well cleaned and nothing was ever a problem. We used the BBQ facilities in the pool complex which was great as we could all get together for dinner although kids wanted to swim and not eat as it was such great weather, but the kids had a ball so that's the important thing. Kids loved the beach too and went to the Australian Reptile Park on the way home but needed more time. Another week would have been nice! " (more)
