About Budawang Retreat

Welcome to a Stress Free weekend with peace and quiet!

We offer something very unique for the discerning traveller. As a family of four we have lived amongst the pristine Budawang ranges beside the pure fresh Clyde River since 2001.

A few times each year we open up our 176 acre property to small groups for yoga retreats. The role of yoga over the weekend is to introduce you to nurturing, flowing and gentle movements, bringing your mind, body and spirit to a state of total relaxation. We will nurture you with massage, swims in the river, walks through the forest, hot outdoor baths - under the stars and delicious, world-class, vegetarian food. Like most of our guests, you will not want to leave.

We cater specifically to women. Some come in groups, many come as individuals. Most people come back year after year.

Weekend retreats run from Friday morning to Sunday after lunch. We cater exclusively for small groups - ideally 8 people (if you are a group you may bring 10). Our aim is to provide an escape away from the normal stress of life. We try to nurture you, provide opportunities to relax, and make available to you an environment surrounded by nature - where you can immerse yourself in the tranquility of the forest and river. Nothing is regimented - everything is at your discretion.
| You will marvel at the comfort of our beds and bedrooms. No cramped children-sized bunk beds on this yoga retreat!
| Accommodation in King single, Double or Queen beds (one king single bunk) (1-3 people per room, 5 rooms)
| Most of our beds are hand-made and provide for maximum comfort and warmth, including wool underblankets, flannelette sheets (in winter), doonas, patchwork quilts + cushions.
| Shared rooms have privacy screens to ensure your personal space is respected.
| Original artwork is displayed in each room.
| Plentiful fluffy bath towels and washers, towelling robes and even specially knitted slippers for each guest.
| Shampoo, conditioner, natural hand lotion and bath oils are all provided.
| Forgotten toothbrush and toothpaste? Women's sanitary products - we cater for that too.
| Hot water bottles to warm your toes (in winter).
| Lots of showers and baths for all to enjoy. No queuing for showers. Great water pressure and continuous HOT water. Bath facilities include: 2 baths, one outdoors - under the stars; 4 showers, two outdoors; 3 toilets, (2 septic flush) one outdoor (composting).
| Guest kitchen includes a wide range of herbal teas, organic coffee, selection of fresh fruit and nuts, and freshly baked cookies.
| Comprehensive library includes wide range of yoga and new age books and magazines, yoga videos, DVDs, CDs and tapes.
| Some items for sale such as neti pots, CDs, books, yoga mats.
| New, fully equipped, carpeted, yoga room with mats, bolsters, belts, eye bags, blankets.
| Campfire (weather permitting).
| Specially placed hammocks to relax, soak up the sun and read a book.
| Shady wooden benches, situated around the property, to sit and enjoy the silence.
| Massage (Kahuna/remedial/deep tissue) is available.
