My husband and I were looking for a romantic hotel to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. A friend of mine recommended the Hydro. It was a bit more expensive than what we were used to, but for such a special occasion, we have decided to "push the boat out." And I am very glad we did. The hotel has a charming Art Deco style about it, and it was almost like being transported to a far-off place and time. The views from the hotel were beautiful and you can see way in to the Jamison Valley. We decided to go for the meal package and were very happy with the quality. The food was fairly simple but nicely done. We have had a very special time and will probably return there for our 25th! I would however say that you would really need a car if you are to stay there. We went by train and found that we were a bit isolated in Medlow Baths.
