Completing Your Cricket Education

Arguably the world’s second most popular sport, cricket is a bat and ball game played by national teams in 104 countries. The first documented cricket games were played in 16th century England. By the 18th century, the game’s popularity was being spread to all parts of the British Empire. Today, cricket is governed by the International Cricket Council.  The rules of cricket, known as “the laws”, are still held by the Marylebone Cricket Club, just as they have been held since 1787.  Cricket is a game rich in history and tradition, yet continues to be relevant and exciting in the modern world.
