"Took some of Cristina's classes a few years ago, she is highly recommended. She is very approachable, down to earth and knows her stuff! I have noticed that she also runs some cake decorating classes for WEA Adelaide. She also stocked all the ingredients and tools I needed so I didn't have to run around to get them myself. I did the decorating courses for special occasion cream and rice paper, chocolate and two tier cakes. " (more)

"Alan Plummer is an excellent teacher. I recently witnessed Alan taking several students in a Master class at Goulburn Conservatorium of Music. He is encouraging and inspirational. I have worked with professional classical guitarists, but none as musical and easy to work with as Alan! " (more)

Adult education is the practice of teaching and educating adults and often referred to as training and development since it is associated with professional development. This is usually done in workplaces, community colleges, learning centres, and at home. Adult education is different from educating children since adults have accumulated experiences and knowledge and more likely to have volunteered to attend. Adults apply their knowledge in a practical way to learn effectively. They make use of personal computers to further and apply what they learn. One example of adult education is English as a Second Language (ESL) or English Language Learners (ELL).
Vocational education, on the other hand, prepares students for jobs that are based on manual activities that are related to a specific trade or occupation. In Australia, vocational education is post-secondary and provided by registered training organisations funded by the different states and territories. The national recognition system allows the assessments and awards of one student to be recognized by any one registered training organisation in any state and territory. The National Centre for Vocational Education Research is responsible for analyzing and evaluating vocational education and training in the different states and territories.
The method of teaching may include traditional classroom lectures and laboratories. However, many of the students are too far away or too busy to attend classes so these institutions make use of distance learning wherein the students are involved in independent study with the use of recorded materials such as videotapes and CDs. The internet is also used heavily because of its convenience to all students. Interactive courses are set up and instruct the students with the proper knowledge they need for a particular course.
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations is the government agency that leads the country's education and workplace training as well as transition to work.
It collaborates with the different government agencies with the states and territories to provide easy access to educational services and support programs to the Australian people. It also aims to increase workforce participation and promote fair work practices in Australia.
