The chefs behind the name are Sophie Budd and Sunny de Ocampo, who've joined forces to spread their love of food and to inspire and teach people how to cook nutritious, and delicious food. The people of Taste Budds. Sophie Budd An exciting young chef with a special talent for teaching people to prepare simple, straightforward dishes using the freshest quality ingredients is planning the next chapter of her successful career.
Sophie Budd 700s talents in the kitchen, combined with her intelligence, grace and charm, ensure that her cookery classes in Perth have long waiting lists. Having worked for celebrity chef Rick Stein at the age of 16 and more recently for Jamie Oliver at Fifteen Cornwall, 29 year old Sophie has taken their techniques, combined them with her own creative ideas -- and developed an award-winning style of her own. A graduate of the renowned Cornwall Catering College in the UK, Sophie believes that it is not necessary to use complex, and often di cult recipes in a quest for preparing food that is full of flavour. Simple ingredients, simply cooked are her passion. Of the many aspects of cooking Sophie enjoys is teaching people how to improve their cooking skills and has an ability to instil confidence in those who join in her classes.
Sunny de Ocampo Born to a family of restaurateurs in the Philippines, Sunny found himself drawn to the kitchen at an early age. He joined local cooking schools at the age of 8 and then migrated to Western Australia joining Perth?s Parmelia Hilton as an apprentice. It wasn't long then before he became Head Chef at the Hilton's Globe Restaurant. Eager for adventure and stories to add to his cooking he then traveled extensively, working in kitchens all over the world and this is where he finds his inspiration in his cooking today, the international flavors reflecting his journey.
Sunny now passionately promotes his 'eatgoodlife' philosophy, an encapsulation of healthy eating in a fun environment, sharing his knowledge through cooking shows and classes, demonstrations, cookbooks and magazines, and DVDs. He also consults, his services sought locally and overseas. His teaching inspires and his enthusiasm is infectious.

We will personally meet with you to determine your individual food needs and preferences.
