UpGrade Tutoring is a network of experienced tutors across the disciplines providing holistic one-on-one programs in the Sydney area.
We cater for all HSC and IB subjects, as well as all modern languages. Each of our tutors received a UAI or ATAR of 99 or above, and our expertise is in tailoring custom-fit programs that will consolidate your strengths and train you in your weaknesses, in preparation for those ever-looming final exams.
How We Work
While the central premise of UpGrade Tutoring is to come up with tailor-made tutoring arrangements according to your own criteria, the following features are often characteristic of a standard tutoring arrangement.
Tutoring often functions best in a home environment, free from the distractions of a public space, and also with easy access to your own library of notes and the internet if needed. Our tutors can come to your house for lessons if you wish, though tutoring in a public setting such as a cafe or library is not unheard of.
From experience, we have found that this is the optimal length for tutoring sessions. Anything more and the student often loses concentration, anything less and sufficient depth in the material cannot be reached.
From a frequency perspective, this yields the best results. Higher frequency can cause burn-out, while lower frequency can diminish enthusiasm.
Payment via Bank Transfer
Our payment structure is simple: we send you the details for our Commonwealth Bank Account, and you are free to transfer directly into that either weekly or fortnightly, at your leisure. The tutors themselves are then payed from that account. The rate is $50 per hour. (more)
