"I highly recommend Sydney Dance Rhythms to anyone looking to learn how to dance. As someone who has never done any dancing before, I have done Salsa dancing classes throughout 2011 with Sydney Dance Rhythms. I have sincerely enjoyed the whole experience. Classes are structured so that even someone with no prior experience can enjoy the dance and overcome any fears. There is plenty of detailed attention given to each dancer so that everyone feels comfortable with the techniques being taught. It did not take long before the dance lessons were a highlight of my week. Apart from the wonderful techniques, classes are so friendly that it is inevitable that you meet some of the friendliest people in Sydney. " (more)

Dance schools are institutions where dance is taught to the students. Dance schools have dance studios where the students learn or rehearse dance techniques from certified dance instructors. Dance schools in Australia have produced many professional dancers in different dance styles.
A dance school is an institution where different styles of dance such as ballet, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary are learned and perfected. Dance schools have sprung flooring which provides a degree of flexibility to absorb the impact of intensive jump exercises and to promote good health and safety. One common feature of a dance school is the presence of a barre in every studio. It is a stationary handrail that is used for ballet warm up exercises. Another common feature is mirrors on the walls of the studio.
Music is a vital part of learning in dance schools and almost all have their own sound systems for playing music. Most professional dance schools have their own piano for musical accompaniment for all dance classes.
The Register of Cultural Organisations under the Office of the Arts of the Australian Government assists qualifying bodies such as dance schools to attract support and strengthen the nations cultural life. Some dance schools receive tax deductable donations from private sectors for their activities and theatrical work.
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations is the government agency that leads the country's education and workplace training as well as transition to work. It collaborates with the different government agencies with the states and territories to provide easy access to educational services and support programs to the Australian people. It also aims to increase workforce participation and promote fair work practices in Australia.
