Wu Xing Dao Kung Fu was founded by Master Instructor Marko Vesse in 1990. Master Vesse has been training and teaching internal kung fu for the past 25 years, and has passed on his knowledge to selected instructors to continue to grow and evolve the style.
Head Instructor of the Central Coast branch, Grant Mundy, has been training and teaching Wu Xing Dao for the last 15 years, and has opened this new school in Wyoming to continue to pass on the knowledge to the next generation of Wu Xing Dao students. He is a qualified Master Trainer (Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness/Personal Training), as well as a Gold Sash (Master Instructor) in Wu XIng Dao Kung Fu. (more)
Wu Xing Dao Kung Fu classes specialise in small group training (maximum of 12 students per class), as well as one to one personal instruction. We pride ourselves in training in the 'old ways' of traditional Kung Fu, focusing on realistic self defence, body conditioning and internal power generation, allowing a practitioner develop instinctive reflexes which enable them to end a confrontation in the fastest way possible, rather than wasting valuable training time learning acrobatic forms or katas which have little realistic application, and resemble a gymnastic performance rather than a true display of martial technique.
Our fitness classes focus on small group or one to one personal training, incorporating traditional martial arts techniques with contemporary fitness techniques for a fun full body workout. Lose weight, tone up, increase flexibility and range of motion, and develop an understanding of fitness from the inside out, with our unique and dynamic training methods.
