Our clinic provides treatment for musculo-skeletal conditions to some of our countries finest athletes and is associated with the Victorian Institute of Sport and Sports Medicine Australia. We pride ourselves on keeping our skills up to date with medical advances in our related fields. With the majority of our patients being referred to us from their family and friends, our reputation speaks for itself. We are all registered primary health care practitioners and you do not need a referral to see us.

Osteopathy is a manual therapy, which involves the treatment of joints, muscles, ligaments and all surrounding structures. We aim to increase the quality and range of movement in the body, so as to effect the muscular, circulatory and nervous systems which we need to maintain optimal health.
The osteopath utilises the most appropriate techniques for your condition. These include; soft tissue work, stretching, joint articulation, muscle energy and manipulation. Treatment is followed by the prescription of rehabilitative exercises, stretches, ergonomics, postural and nutritional advice, to ensure the problem is addressed thoroughly.
Osteopaths are government registered primary healthcare practitioners, so you don't need a referral to see us. Every effort is made to coordinate our treatment plan with that of the referring practitioner.

Dr Tina Maio - Osteopath
Tina is a qualified Osteopath with a physical education background. She is a part-time consultant to the Victorian Institute of Sport and spends the remainder of her time in private practice. Tina is thorough in her examination and diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions. She has a particular interest in the prescription of exercise to overcome injuries and to rectify imbalances caused by poor posture and bad habits.
Tina has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physical Education, a Bachelor of Science Clinical Science and a Master of Health Science in Osteopathy.
