The Caring4Couples approach to relationship counselling is based on the Imago Relationship Therapy model. Christine is a Certified Imago Therapist with 16 years experience in relationship counselling.

The aim of Imago Therapy is to facilitate the reconnection of partners who have lost that once loving intimate connection. This may occur in many different ways - either over a long period of time or suddenly as a result of betrayal.

Each person has their own way of coping with hurt and this very mechanism of self protection is what gets in the way of staying connected with a partner through difficult situations.

You will be guided through a new way of communicating with one another to enable deeper understanding, validation and empathy in a way that you may never experienced - even in the good times!

This model is also valuable for couples who are about to enter marriage or a deeper commitment and regard their relationship as healthy. Discovering that there is a more conscious way of relating that leads to even greater intimacy is a worthwhile and rewarding journey to take with someone you love. And, it is always worthwhile to have techniques available should conflict or difficult times ever occur!

In the beginning of a relationship, it seems that conflict with this wonderful being would be impossible. Then life, work, children, social life, sport, the list is endless... can all take their toll on the health of the couple relationship.
