Psychology is both an applied and academic field that studies the human mind behaviour. Research in psychology seeks to understand and explain thought, emotion and behaviour. Applications in psychology include mental health treatment, performance enhancement, self help, ergonomics, and many other areas affecting health and daily life.

Clinical psychologists engage in individual consultation with clients, group therapy, and work in clinics or with teams of health professionals. Psychological therapists work in many settings and on problems ranging from short-term crises and substance abuse, to psychosis and major disorders. (more)
