Helen Campbell Harder is a Psychologist who specialises in counselling for career change and career development.
Originally from Canada, Helen practices in Adelaide, South Australia. Helen was educated in four countries, travelled extensively and has a working knowledge of French and Spanish, in addition to English. She has worked as a psychologist and educationalist in American, Canadian and Australian school systems.
As a Student and Staff Psychologist at the University of South Australia, Helen first became interested in why people choose the life work that they do. As a consequence she developed a private practice that catered for those who are confused about work and study directions and stalled in their life as a consequence. Her focus on career counselling services has drawn together her work and life experience as well as her education in an occupation that has become her passion.
While she has extensive experience in education and psychology, she is also well acquainted with the particular challenges affecting performance, health and well-being which face athletes in the midst of and post sports careers. As a consequence, in addition to career counselling Helen was the inaugural State Representative for the AFLPA and the ACA for some 5 years. In her role as a psychologist to athletes, she provided player welfare support, counselling and career development to current and past AFL football players, State and National cricketers and AFL umpires. She continues to provide counselling and career services to sports people and aspiring athletes.
Helen offers a unique combination of experience and counselling with a focus on how we choose and use our work, coupled with the latest career assessment techniques. Her services have been thoughtfully developed to enhance your ability to successfully manage change in your life. (more)
