"Polly's is a must visit. We ate there over 15 years ago when the original owner, Polly, owned it. It now has a new owner, who is just as charming and the food is still as excellent as ever. The fresh baked homemade scones for morning tea are to die for. Polly's is set in beautiful, peaceful bush surroundings, alongside a creek with turtles and is a short easy drive from Mudgeeraba. It would be a great place to have a garden wedding. We will definitely be visiting on a regular basis. Note that they are only open at the moment on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. "If you're looking for something to do on a Tuesday night then this is the place to be, especially during the warmer months. The crowd is good looking and you tend to run into a lot of people who work in the hospitality industry as well as the younger crowd. The beer garden is very popular during summer and you'll have to get there early if you want to get in. Sometimes during the summer months you will see a massive line up outside. On weekends they host a lot of functions such as weddings and birthday parties so you will find a wider variety of people or age groups during this time. " (more)

"What can I say? Absolutely fantastic meals, pity I don't live closer as a 140km is a little far to visit a restaurant! I heard another patron questioning the prices, but as far as I could see they were around what I'd expect for a fine dining experience, certainly not dearer than many Melbourne restaurants I've visited. I'm told it's not too busy, but I suspect that on the day we visited it may have been difficult to get a table. This is a highly recommended Geelong restaurant, I'm already planning my next visit!
