Every piece is unique and individual using Australian hardwood timbers and restored by artisans in our Melbourne warehouse workrooms and wholesale gallery.

ENVIRONMENT
We rescue the naturally-aged forest timbers that are discarded from the old warf, bridges, houses and buildings. These timbers would otherwise have been put into landfill, but at Mulbury Gallery, they are restored and reused, helping to ensure our forests survive for future generations.

PRESERVATION
We take pride on obtaining the unobtainable; from unique architectural effects, which we carefully restore, to irreplaceable artifacts sourced from a range of countries and cultures. Our wares are a part of history.

FAIR TRADE
We support fair trade practices in developing countries, and we focus on buying crafts from those artists most in need.

OUR TIMBER
We only use naturally-aged, rescued/recycled timbers to make our hand-crafted picture frames. The timber is mainly Victorian Ash Hardwood, which was grown locally many years ago, and is found in Australian native eucalypt forests.

Every frame has its own unique character.
The irregularities are considered to be part of the design and not a defect. Our frames typically boast old nail holes, knots, gum veins, shakes and splits, and some even have old hand-made nail heads that have been sanded back. Generally, every frame is a unique and no two frames are alike, however, we can use our professional expertise to colour match to suit your requirements.

OUR FINISH
Frames are available in a range of finishes, from a natural finish to an oiled finish or a hand waxed clear or coloured hand-polished wax to suit your decor. All our frames are guaranteed and come with glass and backing, ready to hang on your wall. We also offer a matte-board cutting service, that is second to none to create a perfect surround for your art.

OUR RANGE
Picture frames can be custom-made to suit your artwork or photography, or you can select standard photo size pre-made frames from our gallery. We stock a selection of framed, original artwork, printed artwork, and canvas photo art housed in rescued eco-friendly timber frames. Box frames are also available, we frame gold records, football and cricket jumpers, we are able to frame anything at all.
