The family-owned Indian restaurant business was created when the owners discovered a niche for quality Brisbane restaurants that offered an authentic Indian experience. The first Sitar Indian Restaurant in Brisbane was opened at Albion in 1990 and now the Sitar Group has 8 dine in restaurants and 11 express outlets for take away Indian food, with a long term view to expand to other regions in Australia.
