We got given incorrect advice on what to buy. When we did buy what we needed, we had issues with the volumes that arrived. We ordered 4 metres of gravel (should have been road base) and sand; and 6 metres of fill. The fill, which was filled with 50cm long pieces of wood and rubbish, was 3 times the size of the sand and gravel. Tthe cost of the sand and gravel was more than double. The cheap fill was full of pure rubbish so obvious why they want to get rid of that. And the manager there refused to look at the evidence. He refused to send someone over to see for themselves and kept insisting that there was no way there could be an issue even though five people at our house saw for themselves the difference. They was a very large difference in size. We said they either loaded up way too much fill or short-changed us on the sand and gravel. I offered for them to come and see for themselves and took a video in of the whole area and all the stuff. The manager didn't even look at it all, refused to send someone out and said she was too busy to do anything and that was it. My husband called and said he could upload the video on Youtube and send her the link. She just said "do what you want". Then she told us we should not put the fill down under paving and said if it was her, she would rip it all up and refused to accept that this was what her staff recommended even though we called and paid via CC over the phone, including delivery after asking them what we needed. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I would rather pay extra delivery to use another further away than have this nightmare of our driveway filled with a massive pile of rubbish. We have to hand shovel trying to get rid of it at the tip, or maybe we might list it on Ebay for 1c explaining what and where as they would be cheaper than paying for a bobcat to get the rubbish out of our driveway. The response of the manager was "I'm too busy. I'm not doing anything about it." I did you get anything in writing. Prove it. What a top class business that is, telling customers to get everything in writing and refusing to look at the evidence. If you must use their services, don't take their verbal advice. Get everything in writing and signed on their paperwork. Don't get them to deliver when you are not home as you may get a nasty surprise. And if you have an issue, make sure you have video, photo, and/or witness statements all lined up before you go in to discuss it with them as otherwise they will tell you to prove it.
