About Rockstar Experience

Our sessions are designed to help musicians of all ages recognise what they are capable of musically and to assist them in overcoming fears in their music and in life.

Rockstar Experience is run by Leah and Paul Andrews, two Melbourne musicians who love jamming, rehearsing and playing live in rock bands. Their goal is to bring the excitement of playing live to more Aussie musicians.

As a Rockstar Experience participant, you rehearse in your rock band every Friday night for eight weeks, at Sound Rehearsal Studios in Cochranes Road Moorabbin.
Depending on your skill level, you're placed in a band with other musicians of similar age, musical taste and ability. Each week, Leah and Paul coach you through the challenges of performing in a band. Drummers and bass players learn to "lock in" together to form the rhythm section - the band's backbone. Guitarists learn to work effectively with the rhythm section so they're sounding great and getting their chance to shine. Vocalists are coached in the art of mic technique, vocal projection and on-stage presence. "Rockstar" performance is more than just good pitch!

By the end of the 8 week term, your band is ready to perform live in a showcase set for friends and family with a professional PA system, lights and live audience!

Rockstar Experience is offered throughout the calendar year, with weekly band sessions running for 8 weeks during school terms. The next 8 week term will commence from Friday May 7th 2010 and will run for 8 weeks, until Friday June 25th 2010.
