"They serve great Sandgate sandwiches, so tasty with their tasty taste of tasty taste. Oh yes, I can highly recommend Townhall Bakery in Sandgate as a fine establishment from which to procure a brilliant sandwich. Now let us all join in a hat toss in celebration of the fine and tasty Sandgate sandwiches served with a plate from the Townhall Bakery. Oh yes, no finer sandwich so close to the Sandgate Town Hall could be found unless one were to purchase a Sandgate sandwich and take it into the town hall. For the low, low price of around 5 or 6 dollars, you can have a "deluxe" Sandgate sandwich, also known as a salad sandwich, but not just any salad sandwich. It's the most damn tasty sandwich you are likely to find in Sandgate, or at least in the Lagoon area. Not that I am recommending eating sandwiches in the lagoon, but on the banks of it could be quit nice, enjoying the company of the resident seagulls and baby waterhens clicking and flapping around in the bullrushes where they make their homes. Many a good day can be had in Sandgate, looking at waterbirds and what-not and enjoying the alfresco eating experience that is offered at the Townhall Bakery, whilst enjoying a delectable Sandgate sandwich. No finer sandwich, as I have expressed earlier, could be found within such a close distance to the town hall, making the Town Hall Bakery and the Sandgate sandwich an institution of Sandgate. "It was my first visit to the showroom and I was very impressed with both its impeccable presentation and the range of goods offered. It caters for allergies other than just gluten free, i.e. dairy, egg, and with all products clearly labelled. The web site is also very informative with this. I tried the curry pies. It was excellent, I love the filling! The sausage rolls were very nice, and the fruit slice was absolutely beautiful especially with a bit of icing on it. They have very competitive prices. It also carries a range of other brands. I will definitely be going back to try something else, and it is easy to find and well worth the drive. " (more)

"A quick visit to my local bakery turned out to be the highlight of my weekend. I was ecstatic to find an extensive selection of true sourdough breads along with other rustic artisan breads, crusty baguettes, pastries, croissants and the stand out winner of my heart which is the jam brioche that was nothing short of the French brioche served in the popular boulangeries and patisseries of France. Sumptuous food and wonderful service and I can't wait till they start serving coffee. Keep it up The Hills Bakery! " (more)
