Tips when buying home items in a retail store
Thoroughly check the quality of the item to make sure it does not have any defects. It is always best to ask yourself the right questions about the product. Does it have any damage? How is it different from other products? What is it made of? Where can I use it at home? Will it break easily?
There are a lot of salespeople who are knowledgeable about the product they sell. Before you go to the shop, do your homework and note down the list of things you need from the item you are looking for at the store.
Ask for the best price and negotiate with the salesperson. Be wary of refurbished items. There are some items with prices that are a little too attractive. However it may have been sent back to the manufacturer, spruced up and resold at a discounted price.
Check for the items warranty and read the stores return policy just in case you need to return the item. Most retail stores offer a grace period of a few days to a week for damaged items to be returned.
There really is no need for you to go for the extended warranty. These are not worth the money.
