Golf is a sport and a recreational activity, in which competing players, called golfers, attempt to hit a small ball using different types of clubs into each holes spread randomly on a golf course while stroking the club the least number of times possible.
A golfer is allowed to bring fourteen clubs of various kinds while at play. The following are the types of golf clubs:

• Woods. This type of clubs is used to drive the ball in far distances. For a maximum club speed, woods are equipped with a big spherical head and a long shaft. In earlier times, this kind of clubs is made of wood, but today, woods are now crafted using hollow steel or titanium and foam. Woods are the longest and the most powerful among all types of golf clubs.
• Irons. Irons have flat angled heads and have shorter shafts than woods. It is used for shorter length shots most especially when approaching the greens. Irons have two kinds; (1) the long irons, which are used from fairways, and the (2) short irons, which are used from difficult grounds.
• Wedges. These clubs are actually irons with 50 degrees loft. Wedges have three kinds, the pitching, sand and lob wedges.
• Putters. This club type comes in different head shapes. Putters have very low lofts and short shafts. They are commonly used to roll the ball along the grass and bunkers.
• Hybrids. These clubs are combination of fairway woods and long iron. These are used to best navigate distance control and accuracy. Hybrids in general are much heavier and have larger heads than irons.
