I attended an engagement party on the 6th of October 2012. While I have to agree with the review bel...ow – the room was lovely to look at and set up really well. That’s pretty much where the compliments end. The food was well below average with the main table being served after one side of the room – not first. They ran out of sweet wine by 9.30. There was no beer on any other tables and when asked for they didn’t have any. How the hell does a reception venue not have beer? Not to mention orange juice which was bought by one of the families as they did not supply it. The couple were given a butter knife to cut their engagement cake. Really? Pathetic. The pieces of cake received for desert were tiny and when asked for the left over cake for the couple, staff said there was none. How does a cake made for 140 people have no left over when the pieces given out were tiny? Plates were cleared well before some people had even touched them or while people where still eating. Waiters spoke broken English and couldn’t answer some of the basic questions. When someone called to make a complaint, management abused them and told them that they never wanted their nationality back in their venue because all they do is complain. Another complaint was made and they still say nobody else has complained. They also swore and called the PAYING CUSTOMER every name under the sun. Never will anyone of the over 100 guest will ever return to this venue. I truly hope they go bankrupt.

This is a great place to watch a gig. They have a massive raised stage and the front just turns into... a mosh pit and is a great place to listen to live music. I went there to see The Black Angels a few weeks ago. I managed to get to the front of the stage to watch the band, and it was pretty insane. The only issue I have is that the bar is so far away from the stage. You can watch the band, but the atmosphere is so much better from the dance floor, which is too far away from the bar.

I great spot just off a main road, Bistro and the lead light bar are most welcoming. Spent an enjoya...ble Sunday afternoon on the terrace with a cold drink, a few friend and listened to a couple of muso's playing their stuff.
