AIKIDO (Way of synchronised energy)
Learn to defend yourself by utilising core striking, throwing, joint locking and pinning techniques against punches, kicks and grabs. You will also be taught to protect yourself from attacks with sticks and knives.
The principle of aikido is to redirect the attacker's force and utilise the attacker's aggression, and momentum back against the aggressor.
JODO (way of the 4 foot staff)
Jodo is the way of the staff and stick. Jodo encompasses all the skills found in other traditional samurai weaponry; the striking of the katana - sword, sweeping of the naginata - polearm, crushing of of the rokushaku-bo - 6 foot staff, joint manipulation of the tessen - iron fan and thrust of the yari - spear.
The art of drawing and cutting with the samurai sword. Improve your hand-eye-coordination and sharpen your reflexes and focus by training in the traditional Japanese swordsmanship skills of iai-do.
The philosophy of iai-do lies in "being prepared for decisive action anywhere at any time."
SHIN TAI ICHI NYO (Balance of mind, body, and, spirit)
You will learn to coordinate your mind-body-and-spirit via our zen approach to training which utilises; introspective meditation, stretching and strengthening exercises that will relieve stress and focus your mind and spirit. Our aim is to improve fitness and overall core strength while enhancing health and wellness.
