"Forget stuffy carpeted yoga studios. Yoga by the Sea's outdoor classes are held on a sheltered platform, a downward dog's length from Bondi's refreshing waves and the pool at the ironic Bondi Icebergs. Just around the corner, they also offer indoor classes at Tamarama's Surfclub, still with an incredible ocean view. After the opening meditation session, all cares in the world slip away with the sound of the ocean in your ears and the fresh breeze on your skin, followed by an hour of strenuous ashtanga or relaxing hatha poses, with a routine that varies from week to week. All levels can join right in as the classes cater to all levels, with personal attention from the teacher. And what better way to cool down afterwards with laps in the Icebergs salt water pool or a quick sauna to keep the muscles warm (swim and sauna included in the price of a yoga class! "This is a beautiful studio that is not too big so you don't get too many in a class. It's attached to a natural therapies centre and holistic dentist. The teachers are great and very professional. I've had some acupuncture with Mei too and she's brilliant! Thanks Mei for all your help. I feel so much better since coming to see you. " (more)
