About

Each year STRUT dance initiates a program of choreographic activities and offers a range of responsive programs to support its members (professional contemporary dancers) including:
- Creative residencies both curated and responsive
- International exchanges
- Studio showings and in-theatre seasons
- Regular training and workshops
- Administrative, auspicing and publicity support

In addition, we run contemporary dance classes. Our beginners class requires no prior experience and our intermediate class is great for those wanting to get back in to dance after a long break, or wanting to try the contemporary style. All of our classes are taught by professional dancers who have been trained at a tertiary level and are experienced in both teaching, dancing and choreographing. These classes are high in quality and provide participants with the opportunity to learn from and get to know some of Perth, and Australia's, best contemporary dancers.

All classes are held in the expansive bright studios at King Street Arts Centre. Our beginners classes are held on Tuesday evenings and our intermediate classes are held on Thursday evenings. (more)
