About

KDAT conduct One Day Adventure and Two Day Cultural Tours showing wildlife, nature and history. We also feature Culture, Rock Art, Bush Tucker and Bush Medicine.

We are fully accredited with the Tourism Council of Australia and are international market ready and looking for Inbound Tour Operators to promote, package and sell our products.

Kimberley Dreamtime Adventure Tours or KDAT as we are commonly referred to as now days, offer the service of our clients being picked up from their accommodation in Broome. Then shortly after 7 am, we travel through Kimberley cattle county on our way to an enjoyable coffee break at Willare Roadhouse.
We then head east and leave the bitumen behind to start our 4WD Adventure into Nyikina/Mangala land, this countries traditional owners.
We pass the historic Station of Lower Liveringa first settled in 1885 and now one of the few Aboriginal owned and operated cattle stations in the Kimberley.
We travel down a lonely track viewing many species of bird and wildlife and stop off to inspect some of the native plants and trees learning of their many uses. We also pass huge Boab trees on our way to the picturesque Mount Anderson where they will meet Aboriginal Elder Mr Harry Watson. Harry's team will take our guests on a Camel Safari through the Grant Ranges showing traditional tracking skills, local bush tucker, local wildlife and medicine along the way.
After a hearty lunch at our very own private camp ground we visit the Cultural Centre at the remote Aboriginal Community of Jarlmadangah where our local guides will show us how Traditional tools, weapons and art were made and used.
Here our clients are able to purchase one of the many genuine local made products and publications on sale. From here we are led into the Grant Ranges to visit an old living site where we are told Dreamtime Stories, view Rock Art and enjoy fresh cooked Damper and Billy Tea. The visitors usually take this opportunity to photograph the rugged Kimberley landscape and the many Boab Trees from this very special site.

The day finishes bidding farewell to our new friends and into our bus to enjoy a DVD on a relaxing, scenic drive back into Broome hoping to catch a Beautiful Kimberley Sunset around 6.30pm. Where do we go?

You will not find us shown on many maps and that's the way we like it, you will be one of only a handful of lucky people to experience this tour each week. Mount Anderson is a Traditional Ceremonial Ground, it must not be entered, accessed or visited without permission from the Nyikina/Mangala elders who live there.
We are the only tourist bus permitted to visit this unique and undiscovered wilderness area, so journey with us, leave the crowds behind and experience a fun, adventurous, enlightening and unique experience. We are offering safe and comfortable travel with innovative itineraries, a well maintained vehicle and quality food , so please contact us for a Purely Unreal Adventure Tour.
