Daintree Cascades boasts of a quiet and tranquil holiday accommodation to suit families, groups and couples wanting to spend short or long vacations amid nature without leaving the comforts and convenience of home. Tucked in Daintreeâ€TMs world-listed rainforest, guests will enjoy its lush greeneries and giant rocks, abundance of clear water views of creeks and waterfalls, wildlife, self-contained wooden houses and activities in and around the rainforest to explore. We are fortunate enough that our part of the rainforest is home to six endangered species of native tress and plenty of wildlife. We have two types of accommodation: the Round House and Cottage all built using timber and beautifully furnished for a genuine holiday feel. Both are self-contained and have each their unique features to suit your preference. Our two-bedroom Round House can accommodate up to six people. Whatâ€TMs good about it is it is completely secluded, that means that you can have the whole place to yourselves --no one in sight, even those occupying the other holiday home. On top of that, you get to have a 360-degree view of the rainforest and streams -- no bad or obstructed view of the breathtaking surrounds. Ideal for small families, the Round House can comfortable sleep Mum and Dad in one of the 2 bedrooms and the rest can share a good nightâ€TM s rest in the other bedroom and the pull out sofa bed that can comfortably fit in 2 people. If you love watching nature shows on TV, this is the best place to watch it live and make your own documentary â€" how about a view from the kitchen of kingfishers at the water edge catching insects while cooking a meal or enjoying a good dip at the cool streams and cascading pools? Our Cottage, on the other hand, is a cosy one-bedroom unit situated on the spring fed creek where you can enjoy your morning coffee at the open porch amid trees and greens. It is perfect for couples who want some peace and quiet although it can also be ideal for a family of four. Cascading waterfalls and natural spa pools are just a few steps away from this dainty accommodation and just like guests at the Round House, Cottage occupants will love natureâ€TMs sound and beauty all day, all night â€" a total paradise experience of water flowing, birds chirping and air passing through leaves and trees. The road trip to Daintree Cascades is an experience in itself passing through interesting towns that are an attraction on their own. We are approximately 2 hours away from Cairns and we recommend that you hire a private vehicle, as there is no public transport within Daintree Rainforest. From the Cairns airport, you will be passing through the scenic coastline to Port Douglas, a historic town named after the former Premier of Queensland John Douglas, and Mossman, renowned for the Mossman Gorge and teeming with sugar cane fields. While enjoying these two scenic spots, check out the local store for other supplies that you will need for your Daintree holiday. The complete road direction can be found on our website for a worry free ride to our paradise. Thereâ€TMs more to experience at Daintree Cascades aside from the peace and quiet of nature that our place offers. Explore walking trails, the Great Barrier Reef, native rainforest, and beaches. These can all add up to a uniquely Daintree experience whether for fun or adventure. To best enjoy these activities, consult with us upon reservation so we can come up with our best recommendations. Reservations can be made through our website or you may contact or email James and Allison Kerr. Our rates are reasonable: $350 per night for a maximum of six guests for the Round House and $250/night for the Cottage for four pax maximum. For a relaxing weekend or longer, give us a call or email us! (more)
