About

Set right in the heart of Cygnet, the closest accommodation to the waterfront, budget rooms and dining with food & snacks all day at the modern cafe as well as counter meals (lunch and dinner) seven days a week. Cygnet's friendliest and favorite hotel.

The best value accommodation in the South of Tasmania, all rooms have tea and coffee making and flat screen televisions, and continental breakfast is included for $85 per night per double/twin (cooked breakfasts available seven days).

Cygnet's Commercial Hotel is a lovely example of a true Australian-style pub, down to the traditional verandahs, the old fashioned front bar and the friendly service.

Counter meals are served in the family bistro seven days a week, the modern Cafe is open all day serving meals, snacks, esspresso coffees and take away food. The lounge/bistro has a family bar and there's an old fashioned public bar with billiard table for the adults to enjoy. Off street parking for guests, a well stocked bottle shop with a great range of Tassie wines, and casual Cafe balcony to enjoy, all only a three minute stroll from the waterfront with its popular waterside walking paths.

Cygnet is one of the most popular tourism destination in southern Tasmania, famous for its cafes and folk festival, markets and eclectic mix of locals farmers and artists, orchards, scenic walks and drives. The Commercial Hotel is at the heart of the township, only a 3 minute walk from the waterfront.

Part of the Huon Trail, Cygnet is central to the Huon Valley experience, and a number of museums and attractions are only minutes away by car, making Cygnet a perfect stopover for those touring the south of Tassie.

The Commercial Hotel (known by the locals as the "bottom pub" because it's at the waterfront end of the township) is part of the main shopping strip, only a few moments walk from all the services the township has to offer, including its cafes, markets, parks and public facilities and local shops and stores. It's right at the centre of everything!
