Eungella Mountain Edge Escape provides 1 and 2 bedroom self-contained cabins, ideal for the family, honeymoon, or those simply seeking a relaxing and tranquil get-away. Disabled facilities are available in the two bedroom lodge. Each cabin features a private balcony with breathtaking views, covered carport and reverse cycle air conditioning. Linen, cutlery and crockery are supplied.

Eungella National park features a variety of self guided activities, including over 20 km of subtropical rainforest walking trails. Serious explorers can experience the self guided 56 km 5 day Mackay Highlands Great Walk, which commences at Eungella National Park.

Platypus can be observed from the viewing platform at Broken River (best sighted the hour before dusk and after dawn) and scenic lookouts provide amazing photographic opportunities for the keen photographer. An abundant variety of flora and fauna is on offer, including endemic species, which can only be found here at Eungella.

Eungella Dam provides a wonderful opportunity for a day trip. The freshwater lake is stocked with Barramundi, Sooty Grunter, Sleep Cod and Saratoga (fishing permit required). Boating, camping and swimming are popular pastimes, or you can simply choose to spend an idle day enjoying your surroundings. Eungella Dam is the customary venue for the World Sooty Grunter fishing championships!

Eungella National Park is the ultimate haven for bird lovers! With over 227 recorded bird species, including the Eungella Honeyeater (endemic to Eungella), birders will enjoy a variety of different species. Please visit our website for bird list and sightings.
