Located on the Dukes Highway on the Adelaide side of town, the inn is just over the border from Victoria (VIC), which makes it an excellent stopover point for those travelling between Adelaide and Melbourne.

You can use it as a base from which to visit the hometown of former Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawkes and local attractions such as the Clayton Farm Museum with its wonderful collection of pioneer buildings including the largest thatched roof in the southern hemisphere, the Teatrick Lavender Farm and the newly built Skate Park. Or spend time with the Red, Grey and Western Grey kangaroos and the unique genetic strain of White Kangaroos at the Bordertown Wildlife Park.
