Acupuncture has been indicated, through numerous clinical studies, as superior or equal to ‘standard care’ which may include counselling and/or pharmaceutical interventions, and equal to CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), the most effective psychological intervention, for a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and anxiety disorders such as PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and GAD (generalised anxiety disorder).
