Diane Cheal Acupuncture: West End

About

Discover a new style of treatment right in the heart of West End.

Diane holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture and has professional experience in relaxation, remedial and therapeutic massage therapy. She uniquely "mashes" together these different styles to bring you the best of both worlds in one glorious treatment that you won't forget!

The Practice and Art of Japanese Acupuncture has taken on characteristics that make this therapy different to other styles of acupuncture. These include a strong emphasis on palpation, sensory awareness of Ki arrival, root and branch approaches to the treatment and the use of direct moxa in its different forms. There are many styles of acupuncture practiced in Japan. Out of these many styles, there are three major styles Traditional Japanese Acupuncture & Moxibustion (which includes Meridian Flow Therapy), Modern Japanese Acupuncture and Moxibustion (Which uses biomedical diagnosis to determine point selection and treatment), and TCM based Japanese Acupuncture and Moxibustion (Chinese Medicine style Acupuncture practiced in Japan).

I am passionate about acupuncture and the health benefits it brings to people. The acupuncture I perform is extremely gentle and powerfully effective. Most people find these treatments beautifully relaxing and leave the treatment room feeling like they are floating on air- similar to how you would feel after a nice massage. I have a special interest in female health and I am trained in the field of pre-conception and fertility for the benefit of both male and female reproductive wellness. I am so very excited to be working in a multi-modality centre and am keen to continue using other practitioners to help the client on their path.

Fertility and IVF

Diane also uses her years of experience in the field of Fertility to help couples understand their fertile rhythm and become empowered and confident in using Natural Fertility Management to achieve conception- or to use this knowledge for contraception purposes. The advantages for undertaking the Natural Fertility Management program are many. Both partners develop self sufficiency and awareness of their own bodies and the planning becomes a shared responsibility. There are no harmful side effects with the preconception program, it is reliable and effective. Pre conception care is true preventative medicine. It can also be used as a treatment for fertility problems and not only for the creation of truly healthy babies.

For those on the IVF path- comprehensive studies have shown that by receiving the right acupuncture support, the chances of success within an IVF cycle is greatly improved. Acupuncture- when done well and with a good understanding of the medical processes involved in IVF ,is a safe and useful tool that couples can use to improve their success rate.

This success may be even more enhanced when the couple include the Preconception Wellness program before the IVF attempts are made.
