RoTai is an ancient therapy developed around 3200 years ago in ancient China. The healing art of Kung Fu. It operates on both the pressure points of the body and the muscles and ligaments.
The body will always seek equilibrium. In todayâ€TMs fast paced, modern world, that means it compensates for the stresses of modern life. Muscles, under stress, respond physiologically to protect the body. The Fight or Flight mechanism (sympathetic nervous system). When the stressors in life are strong and constant this means the body does not allow itself to activate the Rest and Recover mechanism (Parasympathetic nervous system)
RoTai activates the Rest and Recover mechanism, allowing your body to heal itself. Releasing the approriate tension so your body can find a new balance point.
To bring healing to the body, all aspects of the person must be considered. Human beings are complex, interconnected systems. Our thoughts and emotions effect our actions, our actions affect our body and our body in turn affects our thoughts and emotions.
Your body, when provided the right conditions, will heal itself. RoTai, and my work as practitioner, is to facilitate a condition where your body will rest and recover. (more)
