Primary care practitioner specialising in arthritic inflammatory conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, tendonitis, bursitis and gout.

As a Medical Herbalist I:

*am a fully qualified specialist in western herbal medicine;

*am highly trained in the philosophies, principles and practice of western herbal medicine and medical science;

*take a holistic view towards health and illness;

*will assess you as a person and not a disease;

*prescribe and dispense plant medicines in a safe and effective manner;

*seek to treat the underlying cause of disease;

*acknowledge the body’s innate ability to heal itself;

*aim to prevent disease and restore health;

*provide dietary and lifestyle advice;

*maintain high standards of professional practice; and

*am an authoritative source of information about herbal medicine;

I operate my own clinic which is located in the beautiful foothills of the Darling Ranges in Boya, Western Australia.

I am recognised by many health funds for rebates; hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance; abide by a professional Code of Ethics and maintain continuing professional education of at least 50 hours per year in medical science and herbal medicine.

~FIRST APPOINTMENT~

The first appointment takes place in the clinic and consists of:

*History Taking - medical, symptoms, lifestyle, nutrition, surgery, treatments, supplements and herbal medicine

*Physical Observation - blood pressure, pulse, skin/hair/nail/iris signs and general appearance

*Taste Tests - may include Zinc Assay and/or Triphala Churna

*Clarifying Desired Outcomes

A treatment protocol is then developed and includes:

*Detailed Report - outlines nutritional, herbal and lifestyle recommendations, and future treatment considerations/priorities

*Liquid Herbal Formula or Capsules - this is charged in addition to the consultation

*15ml Flower Essence Drops - this is included with the consultation cost and is designed to address any emotional blockages that may hinder treatment

*10-minute follow-up phone call 7 days into treatment plan to monitor compliance and answer any questions
