LARRY'S MONTHLY TIP...Don't get caught out when buying a 2nd hand car, the onus is on the seller to have a road worthy certificate NOT THE BUYER. If you are buying a car that is unregistered without a RWC remember that you have no idea what repairs may be required to pass a RWC, so get the car checked out before you buy for peace of mind that you are not left with a car that you can't afford to fix for RWC therefore it can't be registered for on road. Some of our clients have been caught out thinking that they getting a bargain paying $1000 for a car trusting the seller when they say "it only needs a tyre for RWC" then finding out that it will cost them $2000 worth of repairs for RWC which they couldn't afford so they are out of pocket $1000 with a car they can't use.
